In working with park and playground experts, Dr. Aaron Hipp and Team, we implemented an Evaluation Guide to systematically describe/compare contextual factors across two park and playground renovations in predominately Black US communities. This helped to explain the differences in findings, with only one renovation showing significant increases in park and playground use (and physical activity) post intervention. We also used geolocation mobile device data to do a cage match with traditional direct observation methods, which confirmed out=r findings for playground use increases.
